NIST has published new guidelines relating to security and privacy (I noted recent NIST’s involvement in privacy engineering here ). As many of their documents, new guidelines will be influential for security and privacy engineering.

Germany to test face recognition software in terror fight

‘Five Eyes’ wants technology firms to share encrypted data with security agencies

Officials from the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will meet next month to discuss plans to press technology firms to share encrypted data with security agencies, Australia’s prime minister said on Tuesday.

Gloucester City Council fined by ICO for leaving personal information vulnerable to attack
