D-ID’s tech protects your privacy by confounding face recognition algorithms

Unless you literally wear a mask all the time, it is almost impossible to completely avoid cameras and face recognition technology. Not only is this a privacy concern, but it also presents a potential liability for companies that need to protect personal data. D-ID, a startup currently taking part in Y Combinator, wants to solve the problem with tools that process images to make them unrecognizable to face recognition algorithms, but still look similar to the original picture.

Future of cloud-related opportunities discussed

On June 29, the European Commission hosted the Digital Single Market Cloud Stakeholder Meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to interact with the broadest possible collection of stakeholders, wrap up the work done by the Cloud Select Industry Group, and discuss how to best build on previous key deliverables in order to effectively address cloud-related opportunities and challenges in a rapidly changing environment.

Evidon Launches Consent Platform As The Clock Ticks Down On GDPR

Evidon rolled out a platform to help companies comply with the consent requirements of GDPR, which go into effect next May 25, and with the proposed ePrivacy regulations (also known as the Cookie Law), which would require sites and apps to obtain consent and disclose which technologies they use.
